Henna Studio Redesign

Today I will begin the process of cleaning up my henna studio that I have been putting off for a while. I still need to make a trip to Kohl's Department Store to pick up a chair and Pier 1 Imports for a canopy. Its a beautiful burgundy mesh material. Hopefully I will get the look I have in my mind. I have a zillion other things going on at the sametime. I better get to work. As soon as I have the studio complete, I will post photos on my website.

Trip to World Market

Recently I had taken a trip to World Market. Its an interesting place with lots of things from around the world. Its priced moderate to expensive. I got a few things for my henna studio. I can't wait to get started on it. I anticipate to have a few client before November so I need to have the studio all cleaned up. More details will be posted soon.

Great stains from the Morroccan Summer Crop

Yesterday I had finally tried my Morrocan Summer 2006 crop. The stains were great. I had a tablespoon of paste that I put on my fingertips and this morning they are close to a dark blackberry. I love it. I might actually order some bulk later next week for my stash and maybe also some for sale. I need to get working on some advertising of my website. For anyone in the Milwaukee area looking to get some great henna at reasonable prices, please do drop me an email or send an appointment request via my website. I have a busy day ahead of me today. I am not sure if I will go treasure hunting for henna today, but I do know that I need to start getting my henna studio cleaned up. When I get there, I will post some photos on my website.

Supermarket Treasure Hunt

I like to always keep my eyes open to interesting products that can be used for mixing my henna powders. Yesterday was one of those visits, where I was looking for good quality Lemon Juice. The pH level the lemon juice when mixing it with your henna is extremely important. Especially if you are trying to acheive really dark stains. Also, it all begins with good quality henna powder. Anyways, I found this Organic Lemon Juice at Pick n Save here in Milwaukee for $3.59. This is extremely expensive for a 16oz bottle when you can get other generic brands for half the cost. I am yet to test it out. I will post more details on my experiment soon.
